Mercy missions have been our most effective tool for evangelism. Our strategy is to meet the physical needs of those we minister to by providing Medical, Optical, Dental, Personal Hygiene, & Hair Care, with the ultimate goal of meeting their spiritual needs. Annually over 600 short-term missionaries travel to serve the poor in garbage cities, slums, and remote regions of Mexico and Egypt. Our primary goal is to support and encourage our national ministries and churches. Since 1983 we have seen more than 40,000 souls come to know and love Jesus as a direct result of Operation Serve’s Mercy Missions.

She is like so many other 4 year olds living in a garbage dump just outside Mexico City. She and thousands of other men, women, and children like her survive in a world without dreams, fairy tales, or hope for the future. Sickness and disease are a reality they face alone. You can help change that for these people by joining an Operation Serve® short term ministry team. Since 1983, Operation Serve® has dispatched medical, dental, and hygiene volunteers to help those living in garbage dump villages.

2007 Mercy Mission Praise Reports:

1. Touched 22,422 souls for Christ living in the garbage cities and poor communities of Mexico and Egypt
2. Mobilized over 657 Individuals from 110 churches in 18 teams representing 27 states to minister in Mexico and Egypt
3. Trained 13 young people from the U.S. and 4 from Mexico through the Internship Program in Mexico City
4. Cared for over 5260 souls in the Medical Clinics, served over 1143 through the Dental Clinics, helped over 3482 in Hair Care and Hygiene clinics, and assisted over 3246 in the Optical Clinics
5. Purchased Ministry Center in Mexico City
6. Over 1,308 documented Salvations that were connected to a local church body (Salvations for Mexico & Egypt)

2008 Mercy Mission Goals:

1. Touch over 20,000 souls with the Gospel
2. Mobilize over 600 individuals to minister and serve in 2008
3. Train 15 young people through the Internship program in Mexico City
4. See over 1500 souls come to the Lord and connect them to local churches
5. Remodel and Renovate the Ministry Center in Mexico City as Ministry Training Center
6. Add 2 Missionary Staff members
7. Mobilize 4 National Teams to indigenous church plants throughout Mexico
8. Serve the poor and needy in the Garbage city of El-Moutamadia, Egypt for 3 to 4 days a week with Medical and Dental clinic service
