Our Vision in Focus:

The original vision of OSI has been motivating and mobilizing Christians to reach the poor in under-served places and to strengthen existing ministries in their own presentations of the Gospel. The ministry of OSI is concerned for all people, those who know Christ and those who do not. Our vision is defined as:

A. Sharing the love of God with the poor and needy around the world.

B. Imparting a global vision in the body of Christ to fulfill the great commission.

C. Helping believers learn the Word of God so they might mature in Christ.

D. Training indigenous pastors and leaders around the world so they may be able to reach their own people.

As a non-denominational ministry whose focus and desire is to extend the Kingdom of God on earth, we work with a wide range of Christian denominations and affiliations. We welcome the participation of anyone that acknowledges the saving grace of the blood of Jesus Christ and has the support of his or her pastor and local church.

We use four avenues to accomplish the overall mission of Operation Serve, they are:

1Evangelism through Mercy Missions

Wide ranges of culturally relevant methods enable us to share the good news of Jesus Christ. Mercy missions have been our most effective tool for evangelism. Our strategy is to meet the physical needs of those we minister to by providing medical, optical, dental, and hair care, with the ultimate goal of meeting their spiritual needs. Annually over 350 short-term missionaries travel and serve in Mexico and Egypt supporting and encouraging our national ministries. In the past fifteen years we have seen more than 21,000 souls come to know and love Jesus as a direct result of Operation Serve’s Mercy Ministries.

The Bread of Life
2Evangelism through Education and Community Development
  • Learning to ReadOSI Literacy School: Sixty to seventy percent of the poor & needy in Egypt and Mexico are illiterate. By providing the poor with an opportunity to learn how to read and write, OSI equips these forgotten ones with the necessary tools to increase their knowledge and achieve a better quality of life. What a tool to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with those less fortunate than us!
  • English as a Second Language: English is the worldwide language of communication. Most young people around the world search for opportunities to learn English. We believe that if we are to reach the next generation for the Lord Jesus Christ, we must be relevant to our times and address real needs. This tool will allow us to reach the young people and potential leaders of their nations.
  • OSI Trade School: One goal at Operation Serve is to use every creative means possible to reach the lost. The poor and needy are desperate for the opportunity to learn a skill that would improve their quality of life. The OSI trade school would offer valuable training in skills such as carpentry, electricity, plumbing, painting, and masonry, along with computer operation and repair. Of course our ultimate focus is to integrate the message of the Gospel in all we teach so that people will come to know Christ.
